Schaum's Outline of Optics — Supplementary Problem Solutions

This collection accompanies Eugene Hecht, *Schaum's Outline of Theory and
Problems of Optics* (1975).  It covers all 270 numbered **Supplementary
Problems** in Chapters 1--8.  The chapter ranges were checked against the scan:
1.31--1.64, 2.26--2.47, 3.31--3.50, 4.62--4.96, 5.48--5.86,
6.52--6.91, 7.52--7.105, and 8.22--8.47.

The original prompts are not reproduced.  Open the matching numbered problem
in the book for its data and figure, then use the derivation and application
here.  Numerical checks are included where the problem has a numerical endpoint;
proof and construction problems finish at their requested symbolic or graphical
result.  Formulae use SI units unless the source explicitly supplies another
consistent unit system.

   A scan OCR error reads Problem 8.43 as ``8.48``.  The printed page and
   sequence confirm that the convolution problem between 8.42 and 8.44 is 8.43.
